This week’s sponsors - Golf Stats. The Coach’s platform has now launched. This is actually a little project I have been building myself. I have always struggled with the Stat Tracking Apps, as they are clunky and a mission to use. I have decided to build my own. Golf Stats is Simple, Clean and Effective. It is still in the early stages, so lots to tweak. I’d love to hear your feedback Click here to try it out.

Short News Snippets From Around The World

LAB Putters Sell. Private equity firm L Catterton, backed by LVMH, acquired a majority stake in L.A.B. Golf, valuing the company at over $200 million. Known for its lie angle balance putters, L.A.B. has seen explosive growth, with rising tour success and sales projected to triple in 2025 after J.J. Spaun's U.S. Open win.
LIV Golf to RSA. LIV Golf is coming to South Africa, with Steyn City in Johannesburg hosting its first event from 20–22 March 2026. Headlined by the all-South African Stinger GC team, the tournament marks LIV’s African debut, promising top-tier golf, live concerts, and major tourism and economic impact for the region. Reports are saying that over 24000 Early Bird Tickets have been sold 🤯🤯
Happy Gilmore 2. Scottie Scheffler surprisingly stole the show in Happy Gilmore 2, showcasing dry humor and self-awareness, especially in scenes referencing his 2024 PGA arrest. With 46.7 million streams in three days, the film became Netflix’s biggest U.S. debut. Co-stars praised Scheffler for embracing the role and elevating the film.
Rory Skips First Playoff. Rory McIlroy, ranked No. 2 in the FedEx Cup standings, will skip the FedEx St. Jude Championship. His absence leaves the field at 69 players. McIlroy had hinted at this decision months earlier, citing past performance. New playoff format changes may have influenced his choice.
The Playoffs. Nine big names, including Max Homa, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, and Gary Woodland, missed out on the 2025 FedEx Cup Playoffs after poor performances at the Wyndham Championship. Injuries, inconsistent form, and missed cuts sealed their fate. This marked the first time Adam Scott won’t feature since the Playoffs began in 2007.
Mr 1000. Cameron Young made history as the 1,000th unique winner on the PGA Tour by winning the Wyndham Championship. This milestone traces back 165 years to Willie Park’s 1860 Open victory. The PGA Tour officially began in 1968 but recognises earlier winners retroactively, highlighting a rich legacy.
