It was the Scottie Sheffler show again this week. The thing that annoys me most about him is that he makes it look like he isn’t even trying. No emotion, no fist pumps or shouts, it looks like he leaves a little bit in the tank each week. Anyways 😂 congrats to him. In other news, we all still suck at golf 😂. As the Open took the main stage this week, there was not much else happening.
It is the Senior Men’s Open this week, so we still have some Major Links golf to look forward to.
This week’s sponsors - Golf Stats. The Coach’s platform was launched last week. This is actually a little project I have been building myself. I have always struggled with the Stat Tracking Apps, as they are clunky and a mission to use. I have decided to build my own. Golf Stats is Simple, Clean and Effective. It is still in the early stages, so lots to tweak. I’d love to hear your feedback Click here to try it out.

Short News Snippets From Around The World

Bryson Confirmed. Bryson DeChambeau will be part of the U.S. Ryder Cup team, confirmed by captain Keegan Bradley. Despite not earning points due to LIV Golf affiliation, DeChambeau’s recent form and passion earned him a captain’s pick. Bradley aims to inspire the team with history and unity ahead of the September event at Bethpage.
Joel Cuts Caddies. Joel Dahmen and longtime caddie Geno Bonnalie have parted ways after over a decade together. Their close bond, highlighted in Netflix’s Full Swing, began in junior golf and grew through the Korn Ferry and PGA Tours. Though no longer working together, their friendship remains strong as Dahmen continues his season push.
Declined The PGA Tour. YouTube star Grant Horvat declined a Barracuda Championship invite after the PGA Tour denied his request to film, citing media rights rules. While the Tour protects its TV deals, critics argue his inclusion could boost engagement. Meanwhile, NBC will fully produce its 2025 Open Championship telecast, moving away from the shared World Feed. What are your thoughts?
Stupid Rule. The R&A confirmed Shane Lowry received a two-stroke penalty at The Open after his ball moved during a practice swing on the 12th hole. Lowry caused the ball to move and then played from the wrong spot, resulting in one stroke for moving the ball and one for not replacing it, changing his score from 70 to 72. I think this is so stupid. Watching the video, you can’t see the ball move. It is such an outrageous decision.
