It’s great to see a Saffa winning on the PGA Tour again, congrats to Garrick Higgo. Justin Thomas picked up his first victory in 3 years at the RBC Heritage, it is great to see him back too. Over the past week if you didn’t have more than 15 conversations a day about the Masters then are you even a serious golfer? I think we were all on a high by such a great event, and it should in the numbers.

This week is the Zurich Classic which is a teams event on the PGA Tour, very exciting, I wish they did more of these throughout the year.

Thanks to Fairway Golf Prints for sponsoring this week. They create incredible minimalistic artwork of your favourite golf courses. They are available in prints, canvas and frames. Short News Snippets From Around The World

Masters Numbers. Rory McIlroy’s Masters win drew 12.7M average U.S. viewers—the highest since 2018—and peaked at 19.5M. Sky Sports hit 1.3M viewers, a UK record. Paramount Plus saw triple-digit growth. The ratings highlight golf’s strong TV health, driven by McIlroy’s Grand Slam, a dramatic finish, and top-tier star power.

Speed Up. The PGA Tour begins a six-event trial allowing distance-measuring devices to combat slow play. Rangefinders must be set to "distance-only" mode—violations result in penalties or disqualification. This is part of broader reforms including stricter penalties for slow play and publishing player pace stats to increase accountability and speed up rounds. It will be interesting to see what the thoughts are from this last week.

The First Teaser. Owen Wilson stars in Stick, a new Apple TV+ golf comedy premiering June 4. He plays Pryce Cahill, a washed-up golfer who mentors a troubled teen prodigy. Early reactions liken it to Wedding Crashers in a golf setting. The cast includes Marc Maron, Lilli Kay, and Mariana TreviĂąo. Watch Here

Influencer. According to some sources Bryson DeChambeau filmed his entire experience at the 2025 Masters, I’m sure he will be posting a video on his YouTube channel soon. It should be a great watch.
