Calum Hill took down two Saffas in the playoff at the Joburg Open, handing him his 2nd professional win. Russel Henley broke his drought of 854 days without a win, by clinching the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The SA Opens moves back to the Cape, which is very exciting news, Other than that nothing much happened this week in the golfing world.

Augusta National also continues recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Back To The Cape. Stellenbosch Golf Club will host the 115th Investec South African Open in February 2026, marking its second time as the venue. The club last hosted in 1999 when David Frost won on his home course. Investec aims to showcase South African golf nationwide, with Stellenbosch set to highlight the Western Cape’s rich golfing heritage.

Mark Your Calendars. "Happy Gilmore 2" premieres on Netflix on July 25, bringing Adam Sandler back as the iconic character alongside PGA TOUR pros like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas. Christopher McDonald also returns as Shooter McGavin. The highly anticipated sequel promises nostalgia, humour, and star-studded golf action.

Vandalism At Turnberry. Trump Turnberry Resort in Scotland suffered extensive vandalism by pro-Palestine activists, with spray-painted messages and damage to greens. The activists condemned Donald Trump’s stance on Gaza. Turnberry, once a prestigious Open venue, remains off the R&A’s future host list due to political concerns and logistical challenges.
