LIV x PGA is starting to move on quickly, I would think we are going to have some idea of what is going to happen there shortly.

Who Is Our Latest Star?

Five Things to Know About Aldrich Potgieter
1. A Record-Breaking Start
At just 19, Potgieter became the youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history with his victory at the 2024 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. He also made history as the second-youngest winner of The Amateur Championship in 2022. His rapid rise continued as he earned his PGA TOUR card at just 20 years old.
2. One of the Longest Hitters on TOUR
Potgieter’s game is built on power. He led the Korn Ferry Tour in Driving Distance in 2024 and now leads the PGA TOUR with an average of 338.5 yards per drive. His length off the tee gives him a major advantage, allowing him to attack courses differently from most players.
3. Skipped College to Turn Pro at 18
While many top amateurs opt for college golf, Potgieter turned professional early, believing that learning on TOUR would be more beneficial. His decision paid off as he quickly proved he could compete at the highest levels, securing strong finishes in professional events.
4. A Global Upbringing
Born in South Africa, Potgieter moved to Australia at age eight before returning home as a teenager. His international background helped shape his game, with early competition against his father fueling his competitive spirit.
5. Mentored by Tim Clark
Fellow South African and PGA TOUR winner Tim Clark has been a key mentor to Potgieter since they met at the 2022 Junior Presidents Cup. Clark has guided him through the challenges of professional golf, helping him stay patient and focused on long-term success.
