Let’s Get Betting. Starting this week at the WM Phoenix Open, ESPN BET and PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ will launch a live betting stream for six 2025 PGA TOUR events. The stream offers live odds, insights, and betting analysis. Other events include THE PLAYERS, Truist Championship, Memorial Tournament, Travelers Championship, and FedEx St. Jude Championship.

New LIV Commentator. Former 4Aces GC member Pat Perez transitions from player to commentator for LIV Golf in 2025. As an on-course analyst with FOX Sports, he’ll provide insights, pre- and post-round coverage, and player perspectives. Perez, known for his humour and candidness, sees this as an exciting new career chapter.

Speed Up Play The PGA TOUR will trial distance-measuring devices at select 2025 events to improve the pace of play. Previously tested on the Korn Ferry and PGA TOUR Champions, rangefinders aim to speed up yardage calculations. The TOUR will analyze their impact across various formats and field sizes.

Make or Break. YouTube golf influencer Rick Shiels, with nearly 3 million subscribers, joins LIV Golf as an ambassador. Shiels will create engaging content, including his "Break 75" challenges and player features, to promote LIV events. This move counters the PGA Tour's Creator Council initiative, aiming to grow LIV Golf's social media presence and fanbase.

Has TGL Peaked?. TGL’s Week 4 match averaged 864,000 viewers, an increase from Week 3 but lower than Weeks 1 and 2. The close contest between Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links and Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf peaked at 1.1 million viewers during overtime (8:30–8:44 PM ET), though no records were broken.

Bryson on TGL. Bryson DeChambeau expressed interest in joining Tiger Woods' TGL, stating, “It could be fun,” but noted he'd prefer to bring his Crushers GC team. His thriving YouTube channel (1.7M subscribers) also factors into his decision, as he values the creative freedom it provides.
