Very quiet on the golfing front this past week, it seems as though everyone has taken a holiday. The only exciting thing happened in the Happy Gilmore world.

Teaser. Bryson DeChambeau hinted at his cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, set for a 2025 Netflix release, sharing behind-the-scenes photos with Adam Sandler and Happy’s iconic putter. The trailer, released on Christmas, showcased returns of Shooter McGavin, Virginia Venit, and cameos from Travis Kelce and possibly Rory McIlroy.

Poor Viktor. Viktor Hovland confirmed a broken toe but remains hopeful to compete on Thursday in Maui. He plans to rely on taping and painkillers to manage pain throughout the week, though his participation remains uncertain.

Too Much Eggnog. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will miss the 2025 season opener at Kapalua after undergoing surgery on his right hand. The injury occurred on Christmas Day from a glass puncture. Expected to recover fully in 3-4 weeks, Scheffler plans to return at The American Express.
