Damn, the Solheim Cup was a great watch, the level that was being played was incredible, however, the event didn’t come without issues, fans were stuck for hours trying to get to and from the event, putting a bit of a dampener on the whole thing. The President’s Cup is creeping up on us. If it is anything like the Solheim Cup, I can’t wait.

The LIV individual season came to an end with Jon Rahm taking the top honours, taking home a season tally of $34,754,821, still nothing to the $60 million-plus of Scottie Scheffler’s season.

Short News Snippets From Around The World

Full Swing is Back. Netflix has confirmed that Full Swing will return for a third season in 2025. The popular golf docuseries follows PGA Tour players like Rory McIlroy and Tony Finau. The new season will feature notable stories, including ongoing PGA-LIV Golf negotiations and standout performances, continuing its success as a fan favourite.

Still Nothing. PGA Tour officials met with representatives from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) in New York to discuss unifying men's pro golf, but no substantial progress was made. Despite days of negotiations, the parties did not reach a significant agreement, leaving the future of the potential deal uncertain. The PIF may invest $1 billion into PGA Tour Enterprises, with no set deadline for an agreement.

Niemann Misses Out. Joaquin Niemann expressed his disappointment about missing out on the 2024 Presidents Cup due to LIV Golf players being excluded from team selection. Despite two LIV victories in 2024, Niemann stated it "sucks" to be left out, believing the event should feature the world's best players.

Solheim Issues. LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan took responsibility for transportation issues at the 2024 Solheim Cup that caused fans to miss the opening tee shots. Insufficient buses led to long delays, overshadowing the U.S. team's strong start. The LPGA later apologized, offering free tickets, but concerns about leadership and future planning remain.

Bionic Woods. Tiger Woods announced he successfully underwent microdecompression surgery to address nerve impingement in his lower back, which had caused spasms and pain during his 2024 season. This is Woods' sixth back surgery, performed by Dr. Sheeraz Qureshi. He expressed optimism about recovery and returning to golf.

Rahmbo. Jon Rahm secured his second title in three events, clinching the 2024 LIV Golf individual championship at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Rahm’s victory over Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia earned him an $18 million bonus and the $4 million winner's prize. Crushers GC, led by Bryson DeChambeau, won the team event, sharing a $3 million prize. The season concludes next week with the team championship in Dallas.

LIV or NBA? LIV Golf's 2024 individual champion Jon Rahm received a diamond-encrusted ring with built-in technology, allowing him to relive his moment by scanning an embedded QR code. The luxurious ring features 5.78 carats of diamonds and 1.2 carats of emeralds. 💍
