Happy Fathers’ Day to all the golfing dads out there. I hope you got your yearly supply of socks and golf balls 😂😂😂
Major weekends are always great, well done to Bryson DeChambeau for taking it home. It all but looked like Rory McIlroy had wrapped it up to complete his Grand Slam, however, 3 bogeys in his final 4 holes let Byrson clinch it at the end. Pinehurst No.2 played incredibly tough, most of us would be lucky to break 100.
Another Major week this week, as the ladies kick off their PGA Championship, should be a great watch.

Big Money. The 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst featured a record-breaking total purse of $21.5 million, with $4.3 million going to the winner. Rahm Withdraws. Jon Rahm withdrew from the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst due to a foot infection. The 2021 champion announced his decision via social media, expressing disappointment but prioritizing long-term health. Rahm’s withdrawal marks his first missed major since 2016.
Decision In Coming. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are reportedly nearing a merger, with a draft agreement signed between PGA Tour Enterprises and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The details are still unclear. This potential merger follows intense criticism and previous PGA Tour initiatives to reward loyalty amidst ongoing controversies surrounding LIV Golf and Saudi investments.
Rory and Erica Are Back. Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll have reconciled and dismissed their divorce case, filed a month earlier. The couple, married for seven years, decided to remain together and resolved their differences. McIlroy shared his contentment and optimism ahead of the U.S. Open, emphasizing their decision to stay a family.
Mad Scientist. Bryson DeChambeau, revealed his unique preparation technique of floating his golf balls in Epsom salt to ensure balance and precision. Is Tiger Done? Tiger Woods' participation in the 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst might not be his last, despite speculation. Woods, who needed a special exemption to compete, struggled with his iron play and putting, resulting in a missed cut. He mentioned having only one more event this season, the Open Championship at Royal Troon, likely his final start of 2024.
