It’s Major Week people! Let’s get hyped. ⛳

This week I will be running a Golf Champs pool, entry is free, and there is an R1000 adidas Golf Hamper up for grabs. Here is the link to join, send it to all your golf groups.

There were some impressive wins on Tour this week. Scottie Scheffler does it again - Shock. In 7 of the last twelve weeks Scottie has either won a golf tournament, become a dad, or been arrested. Quite the stretch if you ask me.

Ernie Else goes back-to-back on the Champions Tour. Linn Grant made history this week and Linnea Strom shoots a 60 in her final round to take the win on the LPGA Tour. Some proper golf out there.

A big shoutout goes to X Golf for sponsoring this newsletter, they are launching a new range finder in the next couple of months. Short News Snippets From Around The World

Young Gun. Miles Russell, 15, is set to play in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, becoming one of the youngest players in PGA TOUR history. Already making headlines, he won the 2023 Junior PGA and Junior PLAYERS Championships, and was named AJGA Player of the Year. This year, he made the cut on the Korn Ferry Tour. He hits his driver 280 Yards! This kid can play!

PGA Tour/PIF/DP World Tour. A year after PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan and Saudi PIF governor Yasir Al Rumayyan announced a Framework Agreement to unify men's golf, the sport remains divided. Despite initial optimism, negotiations are ongoing. LIV Golf's launch had split the game, leading to bans and legal battles. Now, both sides seek a resolution, though the final deal is still pending. Players' reactions varied from anger to cautious optimism, and key issues like integrating LIV players remain unresolved. My view stays the same, I want to see the best players in the world compete on the same stage.

Rahm Out? Jon Rahm withdrew from LIV Houston due to a foot injury, one week before the U.S. Open at Pinehurst. Rahm, suffering from cuts between his toes, was 3 under at the time. Despite thriving on LIV Golf, Rahm has struggled in majors this year, casting doubt on his U.S. Open participation.

New Titleist Drivers. Titleist debuted its new GT2, GT3, and GT4 drivers on the PGA Tour this week, likely previewing their summer commercial release. The GT2 has a broader footprint, the GT3 features adjustable weighting, and the GT4 is a low-spin model. Titleist drivers have been the top choice on the PGA Tour for five years. Sounds like the ‘same story, different year’ to me.

History maker. Linn Grant won her second Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed title with a flawless final-round 65, overcoming an 11-shot deficit in Helsingborg. Grant made seven birdies to finish at 17 under, as Sebastian Söderberg, the overnight leader, faltered with a final-round 77. Grant's victory marks her second DP World Tour title, making her the first woman to win twice on the tour.
