It is the Nelly & Scottie show at the moment, both are completely dominating the women’s & men’s game respectively. I am still calling for a match against each other, or at least for them to play together at The Grant Thornton Invitational, which is a mixed-team co-sanctioned event between the LPGA and PGA TOUR.

This week we saw and wonderkid coming through, and the standard contraverial news around LIV. Rory McIlroy also gave us a little scare, but he set things straight pretty quickly.

It is the LIV Australia event this week, we all know how wild that went last year, and I am sure they will try to top the MW Open shenanigans that we saw this year. Let’s see how it goes

Let’s hit it. 🏌️‍♀️⛳☕

The Korda Show. Nelly Korda clinched her fifth consecutive victory at the Chevron Championship, equalling a significant LPGA Tour milestone. Despite past health challenges, she triumphed with a two-stroke lead. Korda's exceptional performance continues to impress fans and competitors, solidifying her position as a golfing sensation. Her remarkable streak underscores her dominance in the sport.

Rory Stays. Contrary to rumours, Rory McIlroy firmly denies joining LIV Golf. Reports of an $850m deal circulated but were swiftly debunked by his manager. McIlroy reaffirms loyalty to the PGA Tour, dismissing speculation as baseless. Despite past discussions, he asserts commitment to traditional golf circuits.

Viewings Down. CBS saw a 20% drop in ratings for the Masters after Scottie Scheffler's victory. Despite Augusta National's indifference, low ratings concern stakeholders. The Masters typically sets golf's TV standard, but its decline reflects broader industry challenges. Pro golf's popularity appears to be dropping, raising questions about its health and future prospects. Let me know what you guys think of this. I think one of the reasons is due to not all the best players in the world playing in the same tournament.

When Will This Stop? Brandel Chamblee accused LIV Golf of initiating rumours about Rory McIlroy's potential move. McIlroy swiftly denied any such intentions, reaffirming his commitment to the PGA Tour. Chamblee suggested the Saudi-backed league started the rumour to deflect attention after a lackluster Masters showing by LIV players.

What A Chop. LIV Golf star Talor Gooch questions golf having 72 hole events and says 54 holes is more exciting for fans: “It’s just funny to me, this arbitrary number of 72… Why is it not 90? “Why is it not 108? We just decided to make that number the number, for what reason? Everyone’s talked about world ranking points and all this stuff, but no one’s talked about what do the fans enjoy more. People want something that’s going to be more exciting. And I personally think that 54 holes is more exciting for the fans. Can this guy just stop saying studio stuff now. 🙈

Young Blood. Fifteen-year-old Miles Russell made Korn Ferry Tour history at the LECOM Suncoast Classic, becoming the youngest to make the cut. Carding impressive rounds of 68-66, Russell's debut marked a significant milestone, surpassing previous records. Despite his modesty, Russell's exceptional talent and composed demeanour hint at a promising future in professional golf. He went 70-66 on the weekend to finish on -14, and T20. What a kid!
