It is The Masters Week people!! This is the best week of the year. From the coverage starting on Monday, to the Par 3 contest, to the main event. It is a week full of golf. I can’t wait.

As I am sure most of you caught on, it was April Fools last week, and I won’t be going to The Masters😭😭😭😭

Generally, the week building up to The Masters is pretty uneventful, which was the case this past week, other than Nelly Korda winning her 4th straight event!

Lastly, I thought I’d make you feel a bit sick, Dean Burmeister took home a casual R84mil this weekend for playing 3 rounds of golf and shooting -11. LIV Golf is crazy money. To put that into perspective, Deon Germyshuis won the Limpopo Championship on the Sunshine Tour, with a -22 score, and took home just over R300 000. 🤢🤢

Now, take a look at yourself in the mirror, take a sip of coffee, and let’s dive in. 🏌️‍♀️⛳☕

NEWS
Short News Snippets From Around The World

Incredible Korda. Nelly Korda clinches fourth straight title, defeating Leona Maguire in T-Mobile Match Play. Korda's 12th career win makes her first to achieve four consecutive victories since 2008. Her recent dominance follows a rigorous training regimen, overcoming past injuries. The historic streak solidifies Korda's status as the world's best golfer. Should we see Scottie and Nelly go head to head?

One Night Stand* McIlroy recently sought advice from Butch Harmon, sparking rumours of a coaching change. Despite meeting with Harmon in Las Vegas, McIlroy maintains his commitment to longtime coach Michael Bannon. The golfer's recent struggles, particularly with his iron game, prompt him to seek a second opinion ahead of the Masters.

Really Gary? Gary Player, three-time Masters champion, rates Augusta last among majors. In an interview, he hails the Open Championship as superior, followed by the US Open and PGA Championship. Player emphasizes tradition and history, asserting that the Masters falls short as it lacks championship status. If you have ever met Gary, he loves the spotlight and I feel this is just another way to get into it.

New TGL team. New York Golf Club joins Tiger Woods' TGL, set to launch in 2025 with six teams of four players each. The team includes Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Young. Their logo, inspired by the state bird, features four swinging clubs representing each player.

Goodbye Bones. Justin Thomas parts ways with longtime caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay ahead of the Masters. Thomas cites Mackay's invaluable support during his career but looks forward to new opportunities. Mackay, previously with Phil Mickelson for 25 years, joined Thomas in 2021. Thomas seeks his first 2024 win amidst a challenging period in his career.

Sexless Tiger. Tiger Woods gears up for Masters comeback, reportedly imposing a sex ban to boost focus. After battling injuries and a car accident, Woods aims for his sixth Green Jacket. He's known for his Masters dominance, with five wins, and is determined to recapture past glory, showing intense dedication ahead of the tournament. Pretty random to be fair, but I guess do whatever it takes.
